speakeasyThe thing is, Georgia hates her life.
Well. She likes it in abstract. Grad school outta college, it’s not like she knows what to do with her life anyway, might as well go and study math some more. Math has always been her happy place, ever since she discovered proofs and infinite series. Living on her own, emailing her friends, working in a bookstore, and doing math for some of the science profs.
But she’s going crazy here, and she can feel it building up under her skin.
The thing is, Georgia does stupid stuff when she’s like this, when she can’t stand the feeling of her own skin. She knows this. Last time was in her second year of undergrad— she cut classes one friday and spent the weekend being someone other then herself. She went back to classes on Monday with a hangover like some grecian god trying to claw it’s way out of her skull and fluffed a multivarible test. One of three in the class.
And this is just like the incident in her sophmore year, except she can’t fix this by having athletic, anonomus sex and drinking a lot. She’s not really even sure what she wants anymore, except that she doesn’t want to be here.
